Slide 1: Day 1 of the adventure

Our moving adventure began on Duncan’s last day of school (which was two days before the official last). It was a crazy, busy day but started as usual with Duncan going off to school. It was a special day there though because it was awards day. I attended the ceremony, sitting with the Coopers as I always have, and then headed back home to pack, until it was time to get ready for Duncan’s good-bye party at school. I brought snacks, picked up some of the kids from their classrooms and headed out to the playground – Beth and Debra helping out.

Beth brought a frame for the kids to sign and we took group pictures so that Duncan could have something to remember the day by. The kids had fun and the popsicles were a big hit, of course. It was hard to say good-bye to our good friends. After playing on the dirt playground (that I won’t miss too much!), Duncan was filthy. So, he had to rush through a shower before we headed to the airport. Duncan and I flew to Denver where David was going to pick him up.
